Activitée : Premier Trimestre
1. Create a family album. Select 5-6 family members (real or imaginary). Write a description of each family member to include the following information:
-where the person was born,
-the person’s age and date of birth,
-a physical description
-a description of each person’s personality,
-information about each person’s activities, career, and likes and dislikes.
Be sure to be as creative as you can in your presentation to the class.
2. With a partner or two write a scene that takes place in a café. Imagine a conversation that everyone participates in. Use your textbook for ideas but, be original with yours. Think about props that you might need. Your conversation should last at least 3 minutes.
3. Make a cooking show for the class and bring it in for the class to taste. Bring a recipe for everyone.
4. The story of Armelle and her friends takes place in the city of Annecy. Create a travel presentation (brochure, iMovie with pictures and commentary, poster…) on the city.
5. The people in the story are “lycéens” Give a presentation on the French school system, who created the first school, who created the present school system. How is it similar and different to the U.S. system.
6. Make a poster, mobile, chart… explaining the expressions with AVOIR, ÉTRE or FAIRE for the class.
7. Make a chart illustrating the different endings for adjectives with examples illustrated with pictures.
8. Look at pages 86-89 in the textbook, several regions and historical sites are presented. Pick on one to present to the class.
Presentations made in French carry more weight thah those made in English. Choose wisely. Madame will proof French if requested.
