You are traveling to MARTINIQUE for your fall break. You will be there at least one week. You may stay longer if you wish. Write a travel account of your trip. Include the following information in your report. Keep track of the sites you take the information from and list them at the end of your journal. From Fort de France, where you arrive, you will travel to three other locations of your choice. Choose the places so that you will begin and end in Fort de France. Make sure that you includes Fort de France as well. Choose a method of transportation that will allow you to see as much of the countryside as possible, by car, by bus, by bicycle on foot...

Find a picture of each of the cities or sites you are visiting, comment on what it represents, why you are there and give some details of your visit there. Illustrate with pictures of what you see aong the way. Also, don’t forget to bring back a typical souvenir of the country.

Now that you are in the middle of your trip to Martinique, it is time to sent a post card to your French teacher, “en français”, of course. Choose one of your pictures for your letter. On the "back" of your post card, write a message saying where you are, what you did, what the picture shows and what you liked about the visit. Give the weather and how much longer you are going to stay in Martinique. Your goal is 25-30 well written sentences in French. Pay attention to grammar, verb tenses... talk about what you have visited and done and what you are going to do during the remainder of your trip. You want to be as descriptive as possible. You need to make me see what you see with all the details necessary to accomplish this.
Find pictures of the national and regional flags, maps, one of Martinique showing major rivers cities, one for each city you visit as well as any pictures you find interesting of what you visit.
